Terms andconditions
Template document — review with legal counsel before publishing.
1. Agreement
These terms govern the use of this website and provide the general framework for services provided by HORIZON. Individual engagements are governed by a separate signed agreement, which prevails in the event of conflict. This is a template document and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before publication.
2. Services
HORIZON provides web development, custom software development, e-commerce solutions, cloud and VPS deployment, server management, IT infrastructure, security configuration, business email and technical support services. Scope, deliverables, timeline and fees are defined per engagement in a written proposal.
3. Fees and payment
Project work is billed against agreed milestones. Managed services are billed monthly in advance. Server, domain, licensing and third-party service fees are billed separately from HORIZON service fees and remain the responsibility of the client.
4. Client responsibilities
The client agrees to provide timely access to content, systems, credentials and decision-makers required for delivery. Delays in providing these may affect agreed timelines.
5. Intellectual property
On receipt of final payment, ownership of custom source code produced for the engagement transfers to the client. Third-party components remain subject to their own licences. HORIZON retains the right to reference the engagement in its portfolio unless confidentiality is agreed in writing.
6. Warranties and limitations
Services are delivered with professional skill and care. Uptime, performance and availability figures published on this website are targets and illustrative examples, not guarantees. To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the fees paid for the engagement giving rise to the claim.
7. Confidentiality
Each party will protect the other's confidential information and use it only for the purposes of the engagement.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement with written notice as defined in the engagement agreement. Work completed up to the termination date remains payable.
9. Governing law
The governing law and jurisdiction applicable to engagements are stated in the signed engagement agreement.
